The business data analyst will work on the following things:•Works closely with Business Analysts and is responsible for the following:oData validation rules, data profiling, data mapping,oAssisting in updating Data Definitions / Data Dictionaries,oExploring and analyzing data, condensing large/complicated information to key points,oCommunicating findings through written reports and innovative presentations/visualizations,oInterpreting results, summarizing, analyzing, and preparing reports and findings in a clear and concise manner,oResolving data quality or consistency issues to achieve goals,oMonitor and report ongoing data quality and consistency and other metrics which assess the adherence to data governance policies,oWorking with the IES Data Preparation team to make key data design decisions during Data Migration design, facilitating those through the business as needed,oWork with the development teams to review designs and make key decisions on data cleansing rules and Master Data Management (MDM) activities.•Works as a liaison among stakeholders to elicit, analyze, communicate and validate the requirements for changes to current business processes, policies and information systems and for the development of new business processes, policies and information systems.•Conducts analysis of business and user needs and develops business requirements documents in accordance with the requirements and protocol of the ITS IES Program.•Creates business documentation (Business Requirement documents, use cases, swim lanes, process documentation) that detail the data requirements and deliverables for the data preparation project.•Works closely with technical team members and various IES Business Owners to create Business Requirement documentation and assists in developing logical and physical data model reporting requirements.•Collaborates with data modelers, ETL developers, programmers and the business owners to translate requirements, provide clarification of business rules, prioritize development, obtain signoff and ensure successful delivery of accurate end user reporting requirements•Develops test cases, scenarios, scripts and datasets; executes tests/migration testing; validates business requirements and accuracy and obtains sign-off on deliverables; identifies and documents system data defects and tracks to resolution, performing retesting as required

Minimum of 84 months experience in business analysis, eliciting/extracting detailed business requirements from customer/project stakeholders or system artifacts and documenting such requirements.
Minimum of 84 months experience in data analysis, eliciting/extracting data validation rules, conducting data profiling, data mapping, data definition, data cleansing, and documenting such requirements.
Minimum of 84 months experience developing/maintaining test plans, scenarios and scripts, executing tests, validating test results, and logging/tracking related defects.
Minimum of 24 months defining reporting requirements and experience with data visualization, reporting and analytical tools. (Tableau, PowerBI, etc.)
